Emile Henry - History & Tradition

For 170 years, Emile Henry culinary ceramics have been at the heart of kitchens the world over, with quality products that keep their promise, for both cooking and serving.
For six generations, our teams have passed on their passion for creating high quality ceramic, produced in our workshops in Burgundy. We are proud to put our mastery of Earth and Fire at the service of generous, tasty cuisine.
Made from natural materials, they contain no nickel, lead or cadmium, and present no risk of migration of any toxic elements into the food. Thanks to the non-stock, non-porous properties of our glazes, our ceramics remmin easy to clean and retain neither bacteria nor odours.
For Emile Henry, ‘made in France’ has always been a commitment. We remain loyal to our location in Marcigny, in the heart of Burgundy, and are proud to contribute to perpetuating our savoir-faire and maintaining jobs.
